Why do so many people feel they need to twist the word of God.

2 Timothy 4:3-4. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

Those who twist the word of God do so to suit their own needs or to cover their own actions are the ones who have not become truly born again of the water and the Spirit. Two things they however are good at is following any person who will tell them exactly what they want to hear, and twisting their own story hoping to win someone they think gullible enough, over to their side

Genesis 3:1-15. Look at the subtle way which Satan used to deceive Eva, who in turn caused Adam to go against Godís command. V.12. Look at how Adam accused God for his sin, the woman you gave to be with me caused me to sin. V. 14-15. Here we see how God cursed the serpent for what he had done, and also how God said to the serpent that a seed from the woman would lead to his destruction.

In the O.T. from Genesis to Malachi, we can see how Satan has tried to destroy that seed. But in Geneses 3:15. God warned the serpent that the seed would always be ahead. But in Matthew 3:15. The seed from the first woman, Jesus Christ, destroyed the work of Satan when He fulfilled all righteousness by His Baptism. Satan knew what was going to happen when Jesus received his baptism from John the Baptist, but he was powerless to stop it.

Matthew 4:1-10. Here we can see how Satan used his subtle ways once again and try to deceive Jesus into going against His fathers will. Look at V.11. Satan departed but his deceptive, work was not finished. Satan tried everything to keep Jesus from going to His Cross. Satan knew that once there, his destruction would be complete.

Satan could not stop the seed from the woman from being baptized by John the Baptist in the river Jordan. Satan could not stop Jesus from going to His Cross. From that time on even until today, Satan is still trying to destroy the work of our Lord who became the righteousness of God through His Baptism, His Blood, His Cross, His death and His Resurrection.

If someone has not become truly born again of the water and the Spirit then the Holy Spirit is not present to give proper discernment. If someone is not born again then they can only make their own discernments from their own thoughts, which come from an evil heart (Mark 7:20-23).

Many find it hard to distinguish between the word of God and the word of man. Why, because there are so many different translations and altered versions to choose from. Bible translations cover a broad spectrum of styles, but they fall into three basic categories. Which Bible translation you choose to follow the word of God depends on how you want to read the word of God. Every alteration to Gods written word has been made by man.

Interlinear translators are at one end of the spectrum. These translations contain the original-language text along with a word-for-word translation into the chosen language.

Paraphrase translators fall at the other end of the spectrum. Translators of these versions freely translate the message of the Bible as they understand it in a way that they feel will appeal to their audience.

A third category of translators endeavor to strike a balance between these two extremes. These versions of the Bible strive to convey the meaning and flavor of the original-language expressions while also making the text easy to read.

The paraphrase Bible translations are the most popular in todayís Christianity. Many preachers use these translations because they know how gullible those seeking God are, and because they have no understanding of Godís word the preachers are able to tell the God seekers exactly what they want to hear.

No matter which way someone tries to translate Gods word, if they are not truly born again of the water and the Spirit then they are only translating the way Satan wants them to. From out of that evil heart comes evil thoughts. When thoughts are evil then they are not Gods thoughts but those of Satan.

This is one of the greatest forms of spiritual warfare which the born again are up against today, and the times we now live in are making it more and more difficult in our fight against the evil one, But then again what did we expect, Jesus told us that this exact thing would happen. 2 Timothy 4:3-4.

God truly has blessed those Born again of the gospel of the water and the Spirit. God has chosen us to prevail under any and all circumstances which the evil one and his workers throws at us.
