Ask yourselves this question

How many of you have ever wondered about why Abraham thought he could appeal to God, asking Him to spare Sodom & Gomorrah if there were just fifty righteous men in the cities?

Way too many worldly Christians and their teachers through their lack of knowledge, truly believe that it was only ďrighteous LotĒ who was living there vexing his soul among all those vulgarly wicked and profane sodomites. But do you honestly believe that Lot would have lived there alone if there were no other professing believers also living there? When Ezekiel was sent to reprove Israel, God declared that. As I live, says the Lord God, neither your sister Sodom nor her daughters have done as you have done. (Ezekiel 16:48). If you think there were no professing believers living in the days of Ezekiel, think again.

There were many religious people all over the land, boasting in arrogance and professing to be Godís chosen people, preachers, prophets, and faithful followers of God. They were the called and chosen ones, or so they thought. Those Jews in Ezekielís days were both shocked and surprised when Gods judgment fell upon them, just as millions of todayís worldly Christians will be when they cry out, Lord! Lord! Did we not prophesy in Your name, and through Your name cast out demons, and through Your name do many wonderful works? Only to hear the Lord reply, I never knew you! Depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness! (Matthew 7:23).

Likewise, righteous Lot was alone only in his righteousness, but there were many living in Sodom & Gomorrah claiming to be his fellow believers in the living God. Therefore, Abraham asked God, Perhaps if there are fifty righteous within the city. Will You also destroy and not spare the place for the sake of those fifty righteous within the city? Yet the longer Abraham thought about the believers living in Sodom and the surrounding cities, he began to go lower and lower in asking God until he finally said. Oh do not let the Lord be angry, and I will speak only once more. Perhaps ten righteous shall be found there? And the Lord replied to Abraham. I will not destroy it for the sake of ten.

All of you who are so confidently professing to be serving God, seriously consider this. Out of Abrahams appeal to God to spare the cities for the sake of those fifty righteous, only one true believer was led out. That was a speculated fifty out of how many thought to be professing faith? Abraham knew they were not all serving God, and that many had deceived themselves into thinking they were righteous, so fifty had to be a conservative number to start with. Then, knowing the holiness of God, Abraham began to reduce the numbers down until he reached ten. It was only a mere ten and God still said He would have spared the cities. Yet it was only righteous Lot with his two daughters who came out from among them, with his wife looking back and perishing. You need to understand the math behind this. Only 2% of Abrahamís original conservative number of fifty was saved.

How then can it be that so many worldly Christians, their teachers and preachers, prophets, and priests, are all unable to discern this, but yet still maintain to fear God and say they are serving Him faithfully?
Hosea 4:6-10. Is the reason for all the insanity in the Christian world today! Lack of knowledge.

The truth here is this: Satan fears our discovery of the truth in Gods written word because manís ignorance of it is the most effective weapon he can use against us. The thing those people who stand behind todays consuls are unable to grasp, is through their lack of knowledge they themselves and those they are teaching will not be entering the kingdom of heaven. This is what our Lord meant by the blind leading the blind. Without the proper knowledge and understanding of Godís word, eyes will never open.

For those of you who truly believe that Satan cannot deceive you because of your own righteousness, think again. You have already been deceived. History is still repeating its self just as in the days of Ezekiel and in Sodom and Gomorrah.

Our Lord has never deceived anyone, He has never lied to anyone, all He has ever done is shown the world the way into the kingdom of God. Why is it then that there are thousands of different Christian denominations using just as many different versions of Godís word, and all of them trying in their own way to lead people into Godís kingdom? Todayís Christianity is just re-living the same self-righteousness as in the days of Ezekiel and are no different from those so called fifty people living in Sodom and Gomorrah. Satan always has been and still is able to deceive the self-righteous.

If you are truly seeking to enter the kingdom of God then its time you stopped asking all the wrong questions in the wrong places from the wrong people. Pick up your own Bible and do what our Lord told you to do in Matthew 7:7-8. Ask and it will be given, seek and you will find, and knock and it will be opened to you.

Satanís biggest deceiving trick today are all those false prophets, fake healers, and those who profess that God is speaking to them and using them to speak for Him here on earth!!!!

Jesus Himself warned us all about the deceiving ways Satan has for twisting Gods word to make it sound more enticing to those who are only intent in living out their own self-righteousness. Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheepís clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. Everything God has ever said that mankind needs to know, He has ever done and He will ever do can be found in His written word from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:2. Look at what God is telling you in the verses of Revelation 22:18-19. This is why God sends no one to tell anyone anything!

Matthew 7: 13-15. Jesus is telling us about the way to enter His kingdom, and how narrow that gate is and how few ever find it. He is also telling us how wide the gate is leading to destruction and that there are many who enter by this gate. And in verse 15 Jesus warns us all about those false prophets who are only able to lead people through the wide gate to their destruction.

Itís time to stop and ask yourselves this question! Who are you asking, where are you seeking, and on whoís door are you knocking. Jesus will lead you into His kingdom, Satan will lead you into his.

Rev. Paul C. Jong, his Pastors and evangelists from the New Life Mission are only leading you to read Gods written word yourself. We are leading you to ask, seek, and knock by God and not by man. All we are doing is pointing the way, the rest is between you and God, not between you and man. Godís word will never deceive you, manís version of Godís word will.

Although the gate to Godís kingdom is narrow and not many find it, it is wide enough for the whole world to pass through it hand in hand. Only a few have already received this blessing, your blessing is still waiting for you to receive.
