Return to the Gospel of the Water and the Spirit. Revised edition review

Hello,
This is a review of the New Revised Edition of the book entitled
"RETURN TO THE GOSPEL OF THE WATER AND THE SPIRIT?" By Rev. Paul C. Jong

This book delves into the fallacies of Christianity as a religion. By exposing the lies promulgated by pseudo leaders of the faith, the author seeks to lead people back to the Word of God, setting them on the narrow path to attain redemption by returning to the gospel of the water and the Spirit.

Despite the growing number of people embracing Christianity today, the reality is that their spiritual wellbeing remains in the same state as when they did not believe in God.

This is because people are being deceived by false theological teachings which have no power at all to cleanse away their sins. Such believers were sinners before turning to the Lord, and they remain in the same spiritually lost condition thereafter.
Furthermore, far from becoming born again of water and the Spirit by faith in the Word of God, they are actually being turned into heretical believers.
In Titus 3:11, the Bible describes a heretic as someone who is "warped and sinning, being self-condemned".

Therefore, those who remain unwashed from their sins, no matter how long it`s been since they first believed in Jesus, are actually heretics in the eyes of the Lord.
Consequently, this book is essential reading for everyone, regardless of where they find themselves on their spiritual journey.

Whether you are a pastor, an elder or a lay member of a church, to avoid becoming a heretic before God, I encourage you to read this book and discover how the Lord, with His baptism and crucifixion, has laid the foundation for you to be able to return to the gospel of the water and the Spirit and be cleansed from all your sins.

This book helps us to understand that being reconciled back to God is not just something that nonbelievers must do.
Churches today are actually filled with Christians who are devoted to doing good deeds and offering daily repentance prayers, but despite their best efforts to achieve sanctification, their hearts and consciences remain under the condemnation of sin. They are the representatives of the words spoken by the prophet Jeremiah in 2:22 which says
"For though you wash yourself with lye and use much soap, yet your iniquity is marked before Me.”

Through the spiritually enlightening words of this book, God is calling for all His creation to return to the truth of salvation, which Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, fulfilled when He came to this world in the flesh of a Man to "save His people from their sins" (Matthew 1:21).

Do you know why Jesus sought out John the Baptist? Have you ever heard from any religious teacher the true reason why the Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by the representative of mankind and the last High Priest, John the Baptist?

God`s attributes of justice and love are explored in detail throughout the pages of this book. Nowhere else, other than in the writings of Pastor Paul C.Jong, will you read about the mystery of the baptism of Jesus in relation to the sacrifices performed in the Tabernacle of the Old Testament.

Was He baptized to show humility, for our example or for repentance? No! None of these answers are biblically correct. Yet they are being taught by those who they themselves have not returned to the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Open this precious book which serves as a guide to those who thirst after truth and turn to the Bible to confirm the answer.

John baptized Jesus in the form of the
`laying on of hands` in like manner to how the sacrifices were offered in the Tabernacle (Leviticus 1:4, 3:2, 8, 4:29).
John placed his hand on Jesus` head in order to transfer the sin of the world onto the Lamb of God.
The Israelites` sins were were also transferred onto the sacrifical goat by the High Priest Aaron on the Day of Atonement, as described in the book of Leviticus 16:21.

Jesus said to John,
"Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfil all righteousness."
With these words spoken by the Lord, the sins of the world were placed onto the body of Jesus.
Jesus carried our sins to the Cross where He shed His blood to pay for our sins. He told us on the cross that "It is finished" (John 19:30), and He rose again on the third day.

The difference between the doctrines espoused by Christian leaders today and that of the gospel of the water and the Spirit preached by the members of the New Life Mission is that the former sets people on the path of "self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh" (Colossians 2:23).

Whereas the latter, through explaining the true purpose of the law, gives people the perfect knowledge of sin.
The teachings of the gospel of the water and the Spirit helps souls to understand that they were born as inherent sinners who have broken all of Gods laws and are destined for hell. However with this knowledge, you are also given the truth of salvation that has cleansed you from all your sins so that you can be truly reconciled to God, having your heart washed clean from all your sins as a born-again child of God.

Having washed away all our sins through the baptism He received from John the Baptist, Jesus has now opened the way to the kingdom of Heaven for all those who seek this primitive gospel by the force of faith, as it`s written in Matthew 11:12,
"And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force."

If this primitive gospel were taught by mainstream Christianity, people would be praising God from a sinless and thankful heart. Instead, what we find today are churches full of sinners. As it says in 2 Timothy 3:7, they are "always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."

They add good works to their ever-increasing pursuit of knowledge, but even such devoted efforts have no relevance to becoming again of water and the Spirit.

From the beginning, they have misunderstood how God Himself permitted us to be reborn through faith in His righteousness, and so, having started off on the wrong foot, the rest of their spiritual journey is also shrouded in confusion.
Therefore this book seeks to unravel the world of confusion that is being promulgated by false pastors seeing only to gain materially from their followers.

According to Jesus` words in the Gospel of John, chapter 3, where He says, “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit,” many Christians misinterpret this to mean that nobody other than God knows when one becomes born again, but that is simply not true.

Just as it`s clear when a baby is first born into the world, it`s also abundantly clear when one has become born a second time of water and the Spirit.
The person who was reborn knows it for sure, as they have the witness of the Holy Spirit testifying that all their sins have now been washed away through their faith in the water and the blood of Jesus.

We must return to the gospel of the water and the Spirit by placing our faith firmly in both the baptism and blood of Jesus. The very reason why Jesus died on the cross was because He had taken on our sins at His baptism. If He hadn`t first been baptized, then His death would have been meaningless to us all. This is what the majority of Christians have failed to understand.

In the gospel of John, Jesus refers to the account in the Old Testament when the Israelites were bitten by fiery serpents in the wilderness and were crying out for God to save them. They knew that the venom would kill them if God didn`t intervene on their behalf.
God heard their cry and commanded Moses to build a bronze serpent and to put it high on a pole. He then told the people of Israel to look at it, and if they did, they would be healed. While some indeed looked and were saved, still others refused.
Will you refuse to look at the water and blood of Jesus? Or will you look, believe, confess your faith and be saved?

We also have to admit that we too were infected with the venom of sin from our birth, and this disease of sin was actually leading us to our spiritual death in hell.
When a person finally comes to understand their desperate need for salvation, they stop all attempts to climb up to God with their works and instead humbly seek His redemption by the method that God Himself prepared through the righteous works of Jesus` baptism and crucifixion.
The message in this book will prepare your hearts to seek God the right way, with a poor spirit in all humility.

As such, how could we return to the gospel of the water and the Spirit while simultaneously trying to justify ourselves before God?
The Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 3:19 that when we recognise our sins through the law, this is when "every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God."

This book explains that salvation through Jesus’ baptism and the cross is God’s special grace and the core message of the Bible.

But false pastors do not share this special grace with their church members. Instead, they emphasise Christian ethics and human morality to disguise themselves as angels of light, performing signs and miracles to deceive people into trusting their words, which have no life.

But the words in this book are inspired by the Holy Spirit who testifies to each and every reader that Jesus Christ saved us by the water of His baptism, the blood of the cross and the Spirit.
We must remember that God`s attributes are justice and love. We should have been sent straight to hell for our sins, but Jesus bore them all at His baptism and died on the cross in our place to atone them. He wants us to return to the gospel of the water and the Spirit to understand the strictness of His justice and to receive the fullness of His love.
God bless you all.
