Hi everyone.
It is astoundingly clear reading this book, that Paul C. Jong has dedicated his life to helping people return to the gospel of the water and the spirit; The title of his second book, the new revised edition. This book gave me a deeper understanding and appreciation of the gospel of the water and the spirit which is the main topic weaved throughout all his 68 books.
It explains how most present-day Christians are unable to be saved from their sins because they are believing in the many false religions that have sprung up, especially from theology. These religious leaders have interpreted the word of God according to their own thoughts and the motivation of their flesh. However, for those who want to come back to God and his written Word, Paul C Jong boldly says to them, "Salvation from sin is already complete. The gate of heaven is open. Whoever heeds the Word of truth, confirms it in the Bible, and believes in the gospel of the water and the spirit can protect himself from the false gospel of the devil and be saved from all his sins. He can receive God`s blessings and enter the kingdom of heaven. Amen."
Comprised of eight sermons, this book is full to the brim with a wealth of Biblical knowledge which can only be inspired by the Holy Spirit. I learned for the first time what "heresy" means, who a heretic is. In short, a heretic is someone who believes in Jesus but still has sin. However, Paul C. Jong drills right down to the origin of heresy citing from the account of Jeroboam in the book of Kings, 1st Kings chapter 12. I found it very interesting and insightful. The only way to avoid being a heretic before God is by being born again of water and the spirit. Receive the remission of all our sins.
One of the characteristics of heretical preachers is their sole concern of how to extract money from the congregation. They are incapable of solving the problem of their congregation sins nor even their own sins because they do not know or preach the gospel of the water and the spirit. I enjoyed very much how Paul C. Jong showed how people also received the remission of sins and were born again through the gospel of the water and the spirit in the Old Testament and how people are born again to receive the remission of sins in the New Testament.
He leaves no stone unturned going through the Book of Leviticus and its pair in Matthew chapter 3:15. Both involve the laying on of hands to transfer sins from the sinner onto an animal in the sacrificial system and the laying on of John the Baptist`s hands baptism to transfer all our sins onto Jesus the Lamb of God in the Jordan River. Leviticus chapter 16 verse 21 and 34 and Matthew 3:15. John the Baptist bore witness to this righteous act the day after baptizing Jesus saying, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." John 1:29. He categorically states in the book that if you do not accept Jesus` baptism and the Cross by faith in your personal heart, you cannot wash away sins through any actions or any religion. Amen.
Going right the way back to Abraham, circumcision, and the Passover, Paul C. Jong explains in detail why it is wrong faith to believe only in the blood of Jesus. He shows the correlation between physical circumcision and spiritual circumcision. The cutting off the skin of the foreskin and the cutting off of sins in one`s heart by believing in the water and the blood of Jesus. The author asks, "Have you relied only on the blood of Jesus until today? If so, you certainly have sin in your heart. When you commit sins, there is sin. And if you think your conscience becomes a bit cleaner when you do not commit sins, that is merely a feeling and not based on the Word of God, but on fleshly emotions. Therefore, you must now turn back and believe in the baptism and the blood of Jesus. Then a spiritual circumcision of salvation will occur in your heart and you will be freed from all sins."
Being freed from all sins means believing in the primitive gospel; that Jesus has completely removed all sins through His baptism and blood and thus being saved. Everyone, the wages of sin is death. You and I had sin. Because of that sin, we were destined to go to hell. But instead of us dying, instead of us going to hell, Jesus took on our sins through baptism in the Jordan River and suffered the punishment of the Cross in our place.
From page 185, I enjoyed so much reading about Paul C. Jong`s personal journey of when he too had believed in Jesus incorrectly, believing only in the blood alone without the water. It really helps the reader to identify and recognize their own wrong faith. In Sermon Four, Paul C. Jong speaks in detail again of the wrong interpretation that the majority of Christians have of confession written about by the Apostle John in 1st John chapter 1:9. I never tire of reading about this huge error of religious people`s spiritual of understanding of God`s spiritual Word.
Paul C Jong contrasts the wrong interpretation of 1st John chapter 1 verse 9 with the correct interpretation. He says, "If someone who teaches the Bible teaches incorrectly and if a believer believes incorrectly, this will result in judgment before God and entering hell. The Bible states that only those who are born again can properly teach learners. Just as even the best medicine can become poison and kill if prescribed incorrectly, so it is with teaching God`s Word." Sermon Five debunks the nonsensical man-made doctrines of predestination, election theories, and the doctrine of sanctification. After reading this, your confusion will be all cleared up.
He stresses the truth again saying the eternal removal of humanity’s sins by Jesus is recorded in the New Testament. When Jesus was baptized, the phrase "for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness", Matthew 3:15, means the most appropriate or most fitting. Jesus was baptized in the most fitting way. Just as in the Old Testament, a goat or lamb would receive the sins of the sinner by laying hands on it. Jesus received baptism from John to take on all the sins of all sinners once and for all, making them sinless. "For thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Matthew 3:15. Jesus received baptism in this way to take on all the sins of the world`s sinners, saving them from all worldly sins once and for all.
How very clear and straightforward, explaining the difference and end result of salvation through adhering to the law in the past. Non-adherence meant no salvation. But true faith is not like this. Jesus told us that He saved us from all the sins of the world through the water and the blood of His baptism and the Spirit which are the water and blood of salvation and the law of love. Jesus accomplished the salvation of humanity from sin through His baptism in the Jordan River, His blood on the Cross, His death, and His resurrection. He speaks about all this through the Book of Hebrews. It`s fascinating.
Coming to the end of this book, I like how he sums up the main message. "Why do the reborn not fear the end of the world? Because they have received eternal new life through faith in the Lord`s baptism, the blood of the Cross, and the resurrection." I concur because I know what my own fear was like before reading these special books and how all my fear has now disappeared along with all my sins simply by believing in the water and the blood of Jesus.
The Holy Spirit bears witness to this truth. 1st John 5:8. Believing the truth explained again in this book too. This scripture will surely be fulfilled in your own heart as it has in mine. 1 John 4:18 says, "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves torment, but he who fears has not been made perfect in love." This book covers many, many more important topics than I have only touched upon. I pray that you return to the Gospel of the Water and the Spirit and download this special book. God bless you.
