King David said, “...He leads me beside the still waters, He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name sake” (Psalm 23:3). The Jordan River where Jesus was baptized flows gently and it is free from any disturbance. Therefore when God leads you to this “still waters, He restores” your soul. He then leads you “In the path of righteousness” because Jesus Christ was baptized to fulfill “all righteousness” (Matthew 3:15) for you.

King David continues, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4).

The reason why you will fear no evil even though you walk through the valley of death is because the Bible says that, “...as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death” (Romans 6:3). This is the reason why you will fear no evil because you believe in the baptism of Jesus which enabled you to be baptized into His death, and He comforts you with His Word of the water and the Spirit.

After Elisha had refused the gifts of Naaman, he said, “Then, if not, please let your servant be given two mule-loads of earth; for your servant will no longer offer either burnt offerings or sacrifice to other gods, but to the LORD” (2 Kings 5:17).

From the passage, we can see that during the time of Elisha and his predecessor Elijah, they were offering the burn offering and sacrifices for their sins as given to them by the Law of Moses (Leviticus Chapter 1-4 and 16). But many Christians think that Elijah and Elisha were born differently in a unique way. Some Christians even think these Prophets didn't commit sins at all or even if they did, it was only some few sins which they committed.

But like David, Elijah, Elisha, and all the Prophets were also brought forth in iniquity and in sin their mother conceived them (Psalm 51:6). Thats why the Apostle James said, “Elijah was a man with nature like ours” (James 5:17). It means that both Elijah and Elisha were also born with a sinful nature, and they committed sins daily. Therefore God gave them the sacrificial system to lay their hands on the animal to pass their sins onto it before they kill it.

Both Elijah and Elisha believed that the sacrificial system which God gave to Moses is the shadow of what their Savior (the MESSIAH) who will come and fulfill everything in the future. They therefore did not cease to offer burnt offerings and sacrifices for their sins. This is THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT of the faith of Both Elijah and Elisha which enabled them to enter into the Kingdom of God.

But unfortunately, many false preachers and Christians even as they remain blind, are only interested in miracles of Elijah and Elisha. They only talk about how Elijah blessed the flour of a widow to increase without ending, how he raised the widow’s son from death, how he commanded fire to come from heaven and killed the Ball Prophets. They also talk about the so called “Overtaken Anointing of Elijah,” and how he was ascended to heaven in a chariot of fire. These false preachers also talk about the miracles of Elisha especially when after he died and was buried, a dead man touched his corpse in the grave and he was revived and brought back to life. They use all these passages to tell their followers that God has anointed them like Elijah and Elisha, and so the congregation must believe in their miracles and obey them.

The sad thing however is that, these false pastors and preachers are not able to solve the problem of sin among their congregation. They claim God has given them the power to solve the problems of the flesh such as healing, getting employment, visa to travel, marriage and financial blessings, but they cannot solve the most important problem of their congregation which is their sins. This proves how false and deceptive they are. They are working for Satan the father of lies (John 8:44). If your pastor is not able to solve the problem of your sins, then he is a hireling, a stranger, and a false prophet, and Jesus says you must flee from him (John 10:5-12; Matthew 24:24-26).

IT IS SUCH A PITY AND LAMENTING to see Christianity in this way. If all your physical problems are solved and you go to hell as a Christian - sinner, is that Christianity? If you are reading this message and you know very well that you are not truly born again of the authentic gospel of the water and the Spirit given by Jesus (John 3:5), then you must return to this gospel right now.

From what we read in 2 Kings 5:17, Naaman’s decision to no longer offer burnt offering or sacrifice to any idol was a step in the right direction. But the next verse talks about a very grave mistake of Naaman which was very dangerous.

He said, “Yet in this thing may the LORD pardon your servant: when my master goes into the temple of Rimmon to worship there, and he leans on my hand, and I bow down in the temple of Rimmon – when I bow down in the temple of Rimmon, may the LORD please pardon your servant in this thing. Then he said to him, “Go in peace.” So he departed from him a short distance” (2 Kings 5:18).

Beloved, this is a very dangerous mistake of Naaman. Here Naaman was saying that, because he has been employed by his master the king of Syria and also considering his position as a commander of the Syrian army which was given to him by his master, he feared that if he goes back to Syria and he doesn't worship the god of his master in the temple of Rimmon, he might lose his position and everything.

However, the transformation power of God in Naman’s new life was a good opportunity for him to witness the true gospel to his master and tell him straightforward, “My king, I don’t think I will be able to worship your god in the temple of Rimmon. This is because your god could not heal me of my leprosy, but the God of Israel who created the heavens and the earth, and everything in it is the True God. We must believe in Him alone, for there is no other God besides Him. I am sorry my king, if you are offended in my decision, but it is proper to listen to God rather than man.”

This is what Naaman should have done after having been washed from his leprosy in the Jordan River, but he failed completely. Elijah told Naaman to go in peace because God doesn't force people to worship Him. Jesus says that God is seeking for the true worshiper to worship Him in Spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24), not like Naaman who compromised his faith to please a human being.

For what Naaman did, the Apostle Peter has this to say about it: “For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them” (2 Peter 2:21). Also what Naaman did is according to the true proverb which says, “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire” (2 Peter 2:22).

God told Naaman the way of righteousness through his being washed in the Jordan River, but he turned away from it and went back to worship the god of Rimmon temple. He behaved like a pig whom after having be washed (in the Jordan River), returns to his own vomit (the god of Rimmon temple).

Many Christian are also like Naaman. After God reveal to them the mystery of JESUS BAPTISM IN THE JORDAN RIVER, they don’t throw away their false and former faith. They try to mix the new faith with the old faith just like Naaman. But Jesus said, “No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; or else the new piece pulls away from the old, and the tear is made worse. “And no one puts new wine into old wine-skins; or else the new wine bursts the wine-skins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins” (Mark 2:21-22).

Many Christians actually don’t follow the True Jesus Christ, but they follow a false prophet such as Bar-Jesus who appears in the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 13:6). Even after knowing the true gospel, instead of them to go back and tell their pastors or church members that they have believe in God wrongly because they have removed the water of Jesus baptism from the gospel, and believed in only a half-gospel of the blood, they compromise their faith for the glory of men.

Such people are afraid that their new faith will be spoken against, and so they don’t want to face persecution. Also they are afraid that they will lose their position and the recognition in their old church. Such people cannot shine as the light of the world, but they remain under the leadership of darkness. They are the seed which fell on the stony places (Matthew 20-21).

But what did God tells us about the light which we receive from Jesus? He said, “And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it” (John 1:5). Why then should you be discouraged if they don’t comprehend the water of Jesus baptism which is the light of salvation? That is why God says in Isaiah, “To the law and the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them” (Isaiah 8:20). God says that the reason why they reject the gospel of the Spirit is because there is no light in them. It is simple as that!

I hope you understand these things? The water and the blood of Jesus is the testimony of the Holy Spirit for our salvation, and God also bears witness to it. And the Bible goes further to say that if we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater, and it also say that any Christian who doesn't believe in this testimony has made God a liar (1 John 5:6-10).

When I first believe in this gospel, I preached it in my church, but my pastor openly rejected it in front of the congregation, and I left the church outright. I cannot simply compromise my faith to the doctrine of demons and deceiving spirits in Christianity (1 Timothy 4:1). My faith was just like Peter and other Apostles who insisted, “We ought to obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:29). You must not compromise your faith my beloved, but your faith must be indefatigable.

If human beings and false Christians disapprove you whiles God approves your faith, which one is better? Therefore Jesus says, “Wisdom is justified by her children (Luke 7:35). My beloved brother and sister, you must be wise in the salvation of Jesus. God wants you to study the Holy Scriptures which is able to make you wise (2 Timothy 3:15).

This is why He wants me to share these things with you by the gifts of the Spirit giving to me. It is written, “for one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:8).

Another lesson which is also extremely important in the Naaman’s passage is that we must preach the gospel free of charge like Elisha, and we must not be like the greedy Gehazi.

After this great transformation of God’s power in Commander Naaman’s life, he said, “Indeed, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, except in Israel; now therefore, please take a gift from your servant” (2 Kings 5:15). Let us look at Elisha’s reply, “As the LORD lives, before whom I stand, I will receive nothing. And he urged him to take it, but he refused” (2 Kings 5:16).

Brothers and Sisters, why did Elisha refuse to collect these gift from Commander Naaman? It is because Elisha was applying the same principle which Jesus gave to His disciples when He said, “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The Kingdom of God is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleans the lepers, raise the dead, cast our demons. Freely you have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:7-8).

Did you notice the words of Jesus when He said, “Cleans the lepers?” Elijah cleanse a leper like Naaman, but He didn't collect anything because Jesus said, “Freely you have received, freely give.” THIS IS THE VERY MOTTO OF THE NEW LIFE MISSION, the true Church of God, established and founded by Jesus Christ through His servant Rev. Paul C. Jong. This true Church of God is following His will just like the predecessors of faith.

When you preach the gospel of the water and the Spirit, you must remember this principle (goal) of God’s church. When you give out the MISSION BOOKS which is able to heal the spiritual lepers (sinners), don’t sell it. Those who sell it in order to pocket money for their selfish interest are like the greedy Gehazi who received the wages of unrighteousness (2 Kings 5:25-26).
Don’t let a physically rich man wins your heart because of his standing ovation in society. Your spiritual riches in Christ are eternal and far exceedingly great than anything else (Ephesians 1:3). If Jesus Christ has given you His own life, so that the life that you now live is no longer you who live, but Christ lives in you (Galatians 2:20), then this alone is exceedingly great blessing beyond description.

But as for the greedy Gehazi, the Bible says, "But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, "Look, my master has spared Naaman this Syrian, while not receiving from his hands what he brought; but as the LORD lives, I will run after him and take something from him" (2 Kings 5:20).

People like Gehazi, are in fact plenty in Christendom. The Apostle Paul says that their god is their belly and they set their minds on earthly things (Philippians 3:19). They don’t preach the gospel free of charge as instructed by Jesus. Such people suppose that godliness is a means of gain, and the Bible says we must withdraw ourself from such people (1 Timothy 6:5).

Gehazi therefore received a curse of Naaman leprosy which cling to him and his descendants forever (2 Kings 5:25-27). God will also judge the Christians who preach the false gospel to enrich themselves. Instead of feeding their sheep, these shepherds feed themselves, and God says that they rather eat the fat of their sheep and clothe themselves with the wool, and then they slaughter the fatlings (Ezekiel 34:2-3). God will condemn all these false preachers in Christianity with hell-fire on the judgment day.

THE NEW LIFE MISSION is doing the LORD’S will when He said, “Freely you have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8). May God continue to bless this true MISSION of GOD.
