"I WILL NOT REMEMBER YOUR SINS," Says The LORD.
Eric Aboadwe    [email]    ( Ghana ) 2016-11-10     Views : 323     Touched : 57
Let us hear the Word of the LORD, “But you have not called upon Me O Jacob; And you have been weary of Me, O Israel. You have not brought Me the sheep for your burnt offerings, nor have you honored Me with your sacrifices. I have not caused you to serve with grain offerings, nor wearied you with incense. You have bought Me no sweet cane with money, nor have you satisfied Me with the fat of your sacrifices; But you have burdened Me with your sins, you have wearied Me with your iniquities. I, even I, am He who blots out your sins for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins” (Isaiah 43:22-25).

Let us dive into God’s Word and see what these words actually means and see what God is telling us.

“But you have not called upon Me O Jacob; And you have been weary of Me, O Israel”

The people of Israel did not seek God for a lasting solution to their sins. They relied on the temporal everyday animal sacrifices for their sins to the extent that blood was flowing like a river in the Tabernacle due to their daily sins. They were always approaching God for the forgiveness of daily sins, and this became a weary to God.

You have not brought Me the sheep for your burnt offerings, nor have you honored Me with your sacrifices. I have not caused you to serve with grain offerings, nor wearied you with incense.

God was therefore telling His people, “For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings” (Hosea 6:6). God wanted them to know that He is not pleased with their numerous animal sacrifices, and so they shouldn't think that by offering these sacrifices, they were doing Him a service.

He wanted His people to put their hope and trust in the MESSIAH who will be offered as eternal atonement for their sins according to the multitude of His tender mercies. Their knowledge in this is what God desire. He didn't put any greater burden on them, and He wanted them to know that they have not contributed anything regarding the remission of their sins. It is God who provided and completed the atonement of their sins.

“You have bought Me no sweet cane with money, nor have you satisfied Me with the fat of your sacrifices”
Nobody can pay the price of salvation. Salvation is so expensive that it cost God’s own life, and He has to descend down on earth to be born as a child to receive baptism and die on the Cross. Our salvation was very costly to the extent that God has to be humiliated and be disgraced for us.
Human beings who are born sinners can never satisfy God in anyway. There are some people who think that they gave something to God and so God should bless them on the bases of that. Some even think that they have contributed a huge amount to build a extravagant house for God.
However God tell us, “Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool, where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest? For all those things My hand has made, and all those things exist,” says the LORD. “But this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My Word” (Isaiah 66:1-2).
We cannot build a house for God, and He doesn't need our money to buy our salvation. That is why the Apostle Paul says that, “God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands” (Acts 17:24).
God is therefore telling us that we shouldn't think we have done something for Him or contributed to our salvation. Jesus Christ is the Almighty Creator, and He doesn't need anything from us.Therefore, it doesn't make sens for humans to think that they can obtain salvation by their own deeds such as obeying the law or prayers of repentance.
All that He need is a broken heart and a humble spirit who thirst for His righteousness and who knows that he or she has no righteousness of his own. Such a person believes in the Word of the water baptism and the blood of Jesus.
When Simon thought that he can buy the Holy Spirit with his money, Peter said to him, “Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money” (Acts 8:20). Salvation is a free gift by grace (Ephesians 2:8), and therefore no one can add his money or his contribution to it.
“But you have burdened Me with your sins, you have wearied Me with your iniquities”

By continually offering these sacrifices, the Israelites were always asking and begging God for forgiveness. They couldn't obey the Law even though they told Moses, “All that the LORD has spoken we will do” (Exodus 19:8).

However, Jeremiah confessed, “...For we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even to this day, and did not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God” (Jeremiah 3:25). It means Jeremiah admitted that they couldn't obey the Law at all. Man’s inability to obey God’s voice of the Law is what constitute sin (1 John 3:4).

Jeremiah told God that they did not obey His voice right from their youth even up to this day. Such people are the real humble. Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Ezekiel and all the Prophets were truly humble, but arrogant Christians attempt to be justified by they Law, and because it doesn't work, they invented the prayers of repentance to appease and console themselves.

Due to the fact that the Israelites could not obey the Law, they were always coming to God to offer sacrifices for their sins and iniquities. They were burdening God and wearying Him for their sins. But God spoke to them in His Word of Power below saying:

I, even I, am He who blots out your sins for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins”

We must know that, we can only understand this passage in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. God spoke these words in the baptism, the blood and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We can only grasp the above passage in the Light of Christ. That’s why it is written, “...because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus” (Romans 3:25-26).

When it says that God “had passed over the sins that were previously committed,” It means that God passed all the sins of the people of the Old Testament including Adam on Jesus Christ through His baptism, so that we may know and believe that if that’s the case, then God did not fail to pass the sins of those of us in the New Testament on Jesus Christ. HALLELUJAH!

When God passed all the sins of the world onto Jesus through His baptism, He demonstrated His righteousness, that is why Jesus told John, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness” (Matthew 3:15). He then died and resurrected to complete everything.

It is in the light of this truth that God said, “I, even I, am He who blots out your sins for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins” (Isaiah 43:25).

UNFORTUNATELY MANE CHRISTIANS DO NOT BELIEVE

If you are a Christian and you think that God still remembers your sin and therefore you must go to him to ask for forgiveness, then just sit down and ponder quietly about God’s Word spoken above in Isaiah and see whether you are a true Christian or not.

Concerning the forgiveness of our sins, God even made a covenant and said, “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more” (Hebrews 8:12). This is what God says. It is not the voice of Pentecost, Methodist, Anglican, Baptist, Catholic, Adventist or whatever denomination you can think of. These were spoken by God and written before all these denomination were formed.

So I wonder why the very sins that God said that He will not remember, you go to Him everyday and in every prayer meeting to remind Him of it. Is your denomination your God? Were you save by a denomination or you were saved by God’s written Word of Truth in Jesus Christ? Don’t deceive yourself to think that you are a Christian. Why do you make God a liar?

God will never mention any denomination in heaven, so why should you believe in the words of your denomination more than God’s own words? Is it fair? When God sends you to hell, can you blame Him? I am even lost with words as to why the Christian faith has been so manipulated by the devil.

But as the saying goes, “A word to a wise is enough.”
