Paul says that the gospel of the water and the Spirit that he preached was not received from man but received through the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Galatians chapters 1–3 show in turn the calling of Paul, who had persecuted the church; his not compelling Titus to be circumcised; his rebuking Peter at Antioch; Abraham, who was justified by faith; and the law, the tutor that leads us to Christ. Since Jesus, who received baptism from John and so had the sin of the world transferred to Him, received the judgment for that sin by shedding His blood on the Cross and rose again, there is no room in this salvation to add human works. That is why Paul declares that there is no other gospel besides this gospel he received from Christ.
