Romans chapters 10–16 reveal how a person who could not stand before God by his own righteousness is accepted.
They show, in order, Christ, who is the end of the law; the word that faith comes by hearing; the body presented as a living sacrifice; the exhortation to receive one another; and Paul and his fellow workers, who preached the gospel of the water and the Spirit to the Gentiles. This gospel is the news that Jesus had all the sins of the world, which contain our lifelong sins, passed on to Him once and for all through the baptism He received from John, paid the price of all those sins by shedding His blood on the Cross, and rose again from death, and so remitted our sins. We who have been accepted freely serve so that other souls, too, may stand before God through the same remission of sins.
