Ephesians Seen from the Perspective of the Gospel of the Water and the Spirit

Ephesians is a letter that sings of "every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places" which God has bestowed upon us in Christ. Into this single letter the Apostle Paul poured the highest and deepest truths of the gospel—from the love of God, who chose us before the foundation of the world, to His raising us by grace when we were dead in our trespasses and sins, and finally to His eternal plan of uniting all things into one in Christ. This book expounds that Epistle to the Ephesians from the perspective of the gospel of the water and the Spirit—the gospel through which Jesus took upon Himself the sins of the whole world by being baptized by John, paid the full penalty for those sins on the Cross, and, by rising again, gave us eternal life.

Above all, Ephesians is "the letter of the Church." God has built His Church upon the faith of those who believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. The Church of God is none other than the gathering of those who have been saved by believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Therefore, if faith in this gospel dwells in your heart, you can live a life of true faith. And such a life of faith is possible only within the Church of God. It is my earnest hope that, through this book, all of you will hold fast to the gospel of the water and the Spirit in your hearts and live a life of true faith worthy of that grace within the Church of God. All thanks be to God.

  • Book Review of (book 27) WHAT GOD IS SAYING TO US THROUGH THE EPISTLE TO THE EPHESIANS
    Eric Kimani , Kenya

I want to thank God for enabling me to read this book entitled,:
WHAT GOD IS SAYING TO US THROUGH THE EPISTLE TO THE EPHESIANS by Rev Paul c.jong,
and also get a chance to pen down my honest review of this book.
The author of this book amongst many has shed light properly on how God`s church, which is the body of Christ came to existence.
He has elaborated clearly how God chose us in Jesus Christ before the foundation of the world, so that we should be holy through the works of salvation testified from the Old to the new testament.
God begot Jesus (1 John 5:1) into this world so that we can come to be born again of his baptism, death, resurrection and divinity. The Will of God is for all mankind to be born again of the water and Spirit.
The write of this book, Rev Paul c.jong has expounded on how God "who fills all in all", that is, how God through the true Church blesses everything and everyone. Through God`s church, I also came to met the gospel Word of the water and the Spirit, having been a Christian for 30 years, I was still with sin in my heart. But since God wants to bless the whole world with the truth of salvation through His Church, (Ephesians 1:23), I met the gospel Truth of the water and Spirit (John 3:5). I came to believe that the baptism Jesus received, is where he bore all the sins of the world and paid with his blood.
The book has also shed light on how God saved us By His Grace. God has brought us alive who were dead with Sin (Mark 7:21-23) and our trespasses. When Jesus was baptized he bore the Sin of the world, be it sin, iniquities, trespasses, he died for them and resurrected, thus bringing us back alive. This is exactly what the grace of God is. The book thus admonish those who still hold on to their daily repentance and works of the law, that they have fallen away from grace, thus they need to truly turn from their wrong faith and believe the gospel of the water and the Spirit, which has washed away all our sins perfectly and demolished the wall of separation between us and God forever.
The book has also made us to understand how the depth, width, and length of the salvation expands even more when we admit our sins every time we commit them and recognize that Jesus bore all our sins by being baptized.
The book also explains how there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism in Ephesians chapter 4 and the importance of how we need to trust the church leaders appointed by God and follow them by faith, since God’s Church is the body of Christ. Jesus Christ is the Head of God’s Church. He is the vine and all of us are His branches. God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is the trunk of the vine and we are His branches, and just as the trunk of the vine and its branches are one, God and all of us the members of His body are one. God’s Church is His body.
Chapter 5 of this book has also taught us what it means in (Ephesians 5:18) do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit.
The book has taught us how to interpret this passage correctly, and how to be filled with the Holy Spirit in our lives.
To be filled with the Holy Spirit is to have our everything immersed in the will of God. In other words, filling ourselves with God in every aspect of our lives is what it means to have the fullness of the Spirit.
All of us can be filled with the Holy Spirit if we immerse ourselves in God’s work in everything we do, whether we are working at a job, studying in school, or running a business. To do so, it’s absolutely indispensable for us to listen to the Word that God is speaking to us through His Church. If our minds are preoccupied with God’s work, such as where to plant His Church and to whom to preach the gospel of the water and the Spirit, then we can say that we have the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
Lastly, the book teaches us the importance of
following Our Parents of Faith Who Believe in the Righteousness of the Lord. That as long as our parents believe in the righteousness of God, then the right thing to do is to follow their guidance. So, if our parents are righteous, then we should believe that it’s God’s will for us to wholeheartedly obey them and follow their guidance, and we should walk accordingly.
I hope and pray that this book will also be a blessing to you in your quest to quench your heart with the truth of salvation.
    I Praise God!
