“I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12)
In John chapters 7 through 13, Jesus Himself reveals who He is: He is the light of the world, and He is the resurrection and the life. Following these words, this book unfolds the scenes in which a man who was blind from birth receives his sight and Lazarus, who had been dead four days, walks out of the tomb. The One who opened the eyes of the blind and raised the dead is God, who had our sins passed on to Him at the Jordan River and received the judgment for them on the Cross. Those who believe this fact receive the remission of sins, no longer walk in darkness, and live in the light of life.
