Introduction.
Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God” (John 3:5).
So, the question,
Have you born again of water and the Spirit; do you know what this means?
Prayerfully consider.
You may not have given this much thought or taken it seriously. But if you carefully read the message to the end, it would be of great value.
From Gods standpoint
The cause of all-natural disasters happening in the world is due to sin.
Let us examine this in depth.
All humanity has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. In other words, every person born on the earth is born with sin inherited from Adam, the first man.
The results of sin, includes sickness, disease, social isolation, hatred, murder, greed, malice, death, etc.
What exactly is sin?
Sin is disobeying God.
Sin is the wall that separates mankind from the Holy God.
In the beginning man was created sinless.
But Satan came and deceived man, thereby poisoning his heart.
Jesus reveals this saying, “That which proceeds out of the man is what defiles man, evil thoughts, fornication, theft, murder, adultery, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, envy, blasphemy, arrogance, foolishness, all these wicked things go forth from within and defile the man” (Mark 7: 20-23).
Ponder deeply - realize and acknowledge that these sins Jesus mentioned of which you were born with are still highly active in your heart, still flowing out of you and corrupting your conscience?
Fact is, sin is the poisonous seed of Satan sown in the hearts of all men, from the beginning.
Mankind is thus darkened by sin. God who is a Holy God and full of light cannot dwell in such evil hearts.
Light and darkness cannot coexist together. In other words, where sin is found and still alive, God will never be found.
Furthermore, God does not hear the prayers of people who remain in their sin, unless of course they have all been blotted out at once (Isaiah 59:2; Acts 3:19).
Although we were created in God`s image and likeness, we were separated from God due to our sin. Therefore no one can arise and shine, be at peace, full of joy and enter the kingdom of God.
So, the question, what can we do about this perplexing situation thereby getting rid of our sin forever?
Through our own strength, ingenuity, works, prayers of repentance can never solve this sin problem away.
The Word of God does not say we must try and remove from our hearts the sins we have committed and will yet commit in the future.
We will never escape the final judgment and condemnation.
Perhaps due to your guilty conscience you try these things which never work.
Reality
Because the sins of men are written in their consciences and in the books of works before God (Jeremiah 17:1; Revelation 20:10), the destination of humanity is only hell, for the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
All human endeavors and efforts is like building another Tower of Babel, trying to reach God.
Even if you try hiding under religion, sin will still be alive in your heart.
There is no escape, you will not be free from sin.
To be crystal clear, you cannot get rid of your sin by your own efforts trying to reach sanctification.
Fact is - sinners cannot know God nor His righteous work.
Jesus said, “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32).”
Upon meeting this truth, you will be cleansed from all your lifelong sins and made sanctified at once.
How can this be you might ask?
Jesus said, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes” (Mark 9:23).
And this is by casting away our thoughts and believing in the work that our Lord Jesus achieved for all mankind through His baptism, death, and resurrection.
Believing in these righteous acts sets us free from sin.
What God desires of us is attaining the true knowledge and faith that can set us free from all our lifelong sins at once (John 8:32).
As it is recorded in John 3: 5 where Jesus clearly said, “No one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born again of water and the Spirit."
Therefore, the only God-given way to be cleansed from all our sin is through knowledge and faith, never religion.
The Apostle Paul said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith" (Romans 1:16-17).
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became the Lamb of God. And as this sacrificial sin offering, He took upon Himself all the sins of the world at once when He was baptized at the Jordan by John the Baptist.
At that moment, when John the Baptist, the representative of the whole world, laid his hands-on Jesus` head in accordance with the Old Testament priesthood of Aaron, the sins of every individual in the world were passed onto Jesus. Through this righteous act, Jesus accepted all the sins of the world and then walked to the cross bearing them upon His shoulders. There He shed His innocent blood for the sins of all mankind paying its full price.
This is why He could in a loud voice proclaim, "It is finished!"
What exactly was accomplished by the righteous acts of Jesus?
John the Baptist provides the answer, “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29)
In other words, through the baptism of Jesus and His death on the cross - we are forgiven of all our lifelong sins.
Jesus Christ opened a new way of living by washing away all the sins of the world 2,000 years ago (Hebrews 10:20).
Now is the time of His grace or Gods patience.
Anyone who comes to know and genuinely believes from the heart in His baptism and death on the cross can be forgiven and be set free from all their sin.
Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38).
It is therefore important to note. If you do not have accurate knowledge of the work of Jesus Christ`s baptism, death, and resurrection, you will remain sinners before God (John 16:8).
Therefore, in these last days, no matter how religious you might be, even practice casting out demons, performing miracles, speaking in tongues and prophesying, you will be thrown into the eternal fires of hell because you lack the correct knowledge and faith in the will of God, the Son, Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:20-23).
What we need to understand and know is that without both Jesus` baptism and death, we cannot be saved from all our lifelong sins.
The baptism of Jesus is a must for the work that Jesus did to atone for our sins.
Only knowledge and faith in the knowledge leads us to salvation from all our sins (1 John 5:6).
Conclusion
Believing in the gospel of water and the Spirit will cleanse you from all sin and enable you to enter the kingdom of God (John 3፡ 5).
No matter who you are or standing, you must have the right kind of faith to be cleansed from all sin and made truly born again.
This is good and pleasing to God by being saved by coming to know the truth (1 Timothy 2:4).
Thus, the only way to be saved is to believe in the beautiful gospel Jesus prepared for us of water and the Spirit.
Before this day has passed, ‘Be saved from all your sins.’
All your gain, riches, glory, fame, honor, or authority are but dirty rags in the sight of God, it counts for nothing.
We urge you to listen to God`s will, set your heart on God`s Word, and return to Him.
"Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him." (Revelation 1: 7).
