Born of Water and the Spirit - book one
Hey fellow saints,
This book is very enlightening and caused me to receive the remission of sins. The truth of the matter is I didn't even know about how I could commit sin in my heart let alone about the gospel of the water and the spirit. I was under the impression the only sin you can commit with your heart was looking at someone with lust (Matthew 5:27). However this is untrue. The other example the Lord used was committing murder with the heart by being angry at someone (Matthew 5:21-23). Not only that but every sin as well (Mark 7:21-23).
After realizing how I committed sins I looked at my self with a whole new perception. I have done nothing but be continually evil my whole life defying the Lord and was on my way to hell. However the Gospel the Lord gave us released me from this, and this book explains it very clearly.
For the Lord came by water and blood (1 John 5:6) Because to be born again you must be born again of water and the spirit (John 3:5). In other words to believe in the ministries of both John the Baptist and the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 1:5). What the book explains is what his water baptism actually did, which was take the sin of the whole world (John 1:29).
The law was a shadow of Christ (Hebrews 10:1-4). The blood of animals actually could never take sin because it was only a image of the real deal, Christ. 'By these same sacrifices repeated year after year' If you look closely at the whole verse it is talking about the sacrificial law, and when it says 'repeated year after year' you can conclude that it was speaking of the day of atonement that is done year after year (Leviticus 16).
The Lords water baptism from John the Baptist took the worlds sin by the laying of hands (Leviticus 16:20-22) and carried them to the cross (Isaiah 53:4). He paid the wages of sin by his death as atonement is in the blood (Romans 6:23). He then was ressurected on the third day, bore witness, then rose on the 40th day and now sits on the right hand of God. There truthfully is no more sin in the world as there is but one sacrifice and that was the Lord. Believe the Son of God as he condemned sin in the flesh (Romans 8:3).
John the Baptist came first and restored all things by his water baptism (Mark 9:12), he is the greatest man born from women (Matthew 11:11), according to the law he HAS to come first (Matthew 17:10-11)and this is all because he had to put the sin of the world on him by the laying of hands. As both his parents are descendants of Aaron he is the 'man appointed to the task' as said in Leviticus 16. It is so exact to the law it even shows Christ fulfilling the part where he goes into the wilderness in solitary (temptation from the devil).
Paul C. Jongs books are such a great blessing I am thankful everyday.
One more thing to help anyone who is doubting the messages in his books.
1 John 5:6
"This is the one who came by water and blood憂esus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth." Notice how it says 'not by water only'? It seems from reading acts some people were only believing in the water baptism, that is why the Apostle Paul corrected them. (There are instances of people ignoring the resurrection too.. you must believe that the Lord was resurrected also.)
Here is an example of early Christians mistakenly believing in only Johns ministry. 'not water only'
Acts 19:1-6
While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples and asked them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?"
They answered, "No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit."
So Paul asked, "Then what baptism did you receive?"
"John's baptism," they replied.
Paul said, "John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus." On hearing this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.
God bless you all I hope you all the best!
