Yesterday I was in a taxi going to church.
Yesterday I was in a taxi going to church. A woman came and sat next to me. I was holding a laminated paper on which our website and telegram channel written. She said to me, "Can I have a look?" She saw it and seemed to be not interested. However, she continued the conversation with me. And I knew that she is Christian from our conversation. I just interrupted her and asked her what church she goes. She told me about her church, her pastor, her children and staff like. I was thinking to ask her about salvation. I said to her, "There are a lots of Christians these days, but they don't have right knowledge about salvation. For example, there are many Christians who believe that Jesus has blotted inherited sins, not their personal sins, not the sins of the world. What do you think about this?" She said, "No, we don't believe this way. It's Ethiopian orthodox Christians who believe that way. We believe that Jesus has washed away all the sins of the world." I was like, "It sounds good. Are you sure that you believe Jesus has blotted out all your sins?" She said, "Yes, I am quite sure. Jesus has died for my past and future sins."Then I asked, "Are you righteous now?" She's like, "I am righteous in Christ Jesus." I asked, "What do you do when you commit sins?" She answered, "I don't commit sins intentionally." I asked, "What do you do when you commit sins unintentionally?" She answered, " I ask God to forgive my sins." I kept on asking, "Is forgiveness for a sinner or for a righteous? She answered, " It is for a sinner."I asked, "So you are a sinner, but you said that you're righteous earlier. Didn't you say that you are righteous? Wasn't that a lie? Doesn't this she show that you yourself don't believe that Jesus has blotted out all the sins of the world?" She paused. Then she's confused. She said, "I have never thought about this. I have never seen it this way."I said, "Anyway you need our free Christian books which teaches you detail about salvation. If you are on Telegram, give me your number, I will forward our free Christian books to you." Then I asked, "What is your name?" She said, "My name is Almaz." I was like, "My name is Yohannes. Have a good day!" Then we departed.Yohannes Make Mara, Ethiopia
