The basis of our salvation will lead us to the fundamental faith which God ordained to Moses in the Old Testament. The Old Testament foreshadows the remission of sins through the righteous deeds and the holy blood of Jesus Christ. Therefore, the details of the doctrine in the Old Testament should also appear in the New Testament. The Lord Jesus Christ said we must be born again in water and Spirit. Both are prerequisites, water, and the Spirit, for us to enter the Kingdom of God. There is no other way, but only through our Lord Jesus Christ.
