1-13. What was the sacrifice of atonement for a year’s sins in the Old Testament?
It was the sacrifice of atonement for a year’s worth of Israel’s sins all at once. The High Priest laid his hands on the head of a goat and passed on a year’s sins of all the people of Israel all at once (Leviticus 16:1-34). Jesus Christ completed the sacrifices for a day’s sin and a year’s sins when He became the Lamb of God to take all sin onto His head through His baptism.
