नंबर 174The Benefit Of Christ Death
In referring to Matthew 3:15, we see Jesus taking all the sins of the world upon Himself by receiving His baptism from John. The reason why Jesus was baptized by John was because He has to shoulder the sins of the world through this baptism. It was because this was God's own desire, as stated in Isaiah 53:10; "Yet it pleases the LORD to bruise Him for our salvation "therefore, the purpose of God in sending Christ to this earth was to "bruise Him" because of His bearing of our sins and death. Realizing this love, the Apostle John said, "In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He first loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins" (1John 4:10). In obeying the will of God, Christ therefore discarded at once the comfortable way, which He was more than capable of taking with His majesty and power, and did not hesitate to eschew the compassion of His disciples and the great welcome of the people. Put differently, because He had accepted all the sins of the world by being baptized, He could die for us who have gone astray like sheep, and has thereby opened "a new and living way" to us (Hebrews 10:20). Jesus, in other words, had to embrace His baptism by John to satisfy the righteousness of God, regardless of whether people would recognize it or not, for this was the very desire of the Father. This is why He faced the accursed and terrifying death of the cross. Because His sufferings were the will of God, He remained completely silent even as He suffered. As Isaiah 53:7 states, He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth". Like this, even as He was falsely accused, harshly beaten, plucked of His beard, and spat at, because He had accepted the sins of mankind passed onto Him from John through His baptism, He remained silent. Not only this but furthermore, because it was the will of the Father for Him to be baptized and thus die, He died for the sake of those who believe. Only after being baptized by John at the age of 30 years and thereby taking upon Him the sins of the world, our Lord was crucified at the age of 33 and shed His blood. He then rose from the dead, and has become the eternal saviour for those of us who believe in this truth. Christ had to die so that we could have life and have it more abundantly.

This is a very important question everyone should ask themselves. Salvation is to set free from sin and penalty, that is redemption. All we need to do is to be born again of water the spirit. First we need to accept that we were born sinners and that we cannot redeem ourselves. Jesus Christ paid for our redemption, deliverance and rescue once for all mankind. What does it mean to be born again? It means to be given a new heart that is willing to obey God's word (Ezekiel 36:24-27) It means to turn away from our evil actions, words, evil thought and take up the cross and follow Jesus. It also means allowing Christ wash all our sins away and make our hearts clean so no sin will separate us from God (Acts 3:19 ) This means making us anew and doing only what is right in God's eyes. The bible says for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) The bible continue to say if we say we have not sinned we make him a liar. Who must have this new birth? Everybody old enough to know what is right and what is wrong needs to have this new birth. Everyone who has anything that is not right needs this new birth. Prophet Isaiah says ''All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned everyone to his own way (Isaiah 53:6) The evil men do separates them from seeing God (Isaiah 59:2) The story of Nicodemus in the bible shows us that except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3-8) Jesus is still calling by knocking on our heart door according to Revelations 3:20 and I quote Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. The bible continue to say in Matthew 11:28-30 ''Come unto me all ye that Labour and are heavy Laden and I will give you rest'. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Jesus is the way the truth and the life, no one comes unto the father except through him (John 14:6) Jesus is asking us to bring every sin or weaknes that we have in our life to Him and He is asking us to lay them at His feet. Jesus wants us to be free from our heavy load. To be born again of the water and the spirit is to believe in the water baptism and the attonement of sin by shedding his blood on the cross. There is hope for you even if you are a great sinner. The word of God says ''come now and let us reason together'' saith the LORD. Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow: though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool (Isaiah 1:18) If we confess our sins God will forgive us and will cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Greetings to You in the name of our Saviour Jesus Christ! I, sushanta kumar Bhatra, a small servant of God, first of all thanks to my Saviour God who helped me to get this book. I express my gratitude to dear Paul C. Jong and his team and all the contributors for this special book. The book “HAVE YOU TRULY BEEN BORN AGAIN OF WATER AND THE SPIRIT?” is the book of sermon which can transform the people’s life. Paul C. Jong, the author of this book highlighted the Baptism of Jesus which plays major role in our understanding and receiving the salvation. This book made me to think and when I read it, it gave me a clear understanding about what really mean “Born Again”. It gave me a broad understanding about Sin, Salvation, Atonement and specially Baptism of Jesus. I understood and also accept that we were sinners and Jesus Christ who came to this world as a perfect and without blemish Lamb for Sacrifice of our sins. One has to believe in the baptism of Jesus, His eternal atonement for all our sins and finally we have to believe in the gospel of Water and spirit, the written Word of God. The testimonies of salvation encouraged me to work more and more to reach more people for Christ. The questions and answers clarified many of my doubts which had before getting this book. Once again I praise God that God has given me this opportunity to share His Word and I have decided to be a co-worker of this Mission. HALLELUJAH TODAY I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE THE VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM ROMANS 10:9-11. I THANK ALMIGHTY GOD FOR BLESSING ME WITH THE FAITH OF THE APOSTLES OF JESUS CHRIST BY WHICH GOD BLESS ME WITH EQUAL WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE LIKE THAT OF APOSTLES, SO WHEN I READ THE EPISTLES OF THE APOSTLES, GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT UNRAVEL EVERYTHING FOR HIS PRAISE AND GLORY. HALLELUJAH I ONCE AGAIN AND FOREVERMORE SO GRATEFUL TO GOD ALMIGHTY FOR BEING IN ME. ONLY JESUS CHRIST DESERVES ALL GLORY. AMEN OK LET'S GO THROUGH THE MESSAGE OF APOSTLE PAUL AND RECEIVE THE ABUNDANT BLESSINGS AND SALVATION IN JESUS CHRIST: AMEN (Romans 10 ) ------------ 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Apostle Paul writing is like a parable which LORD JESUS CHRIST told to the people while preaching The Kingdom of God. So many times people find and found it hard to comprehend as what he was talking about. Even Apostle Peter found and confirmed the believers of his time how Apostle Paul writing is hard to understand by those corrupt mind. (2 Peter 3 ) ------------ 15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation--as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, 16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures. Wisdom and writing of Apostle Paul gifted by God Almighty can be understood by only those who have the same and parallel faith as that of The Apostles of JESUS CHRIST. Otherwise it just become big puzzle and people with corrupt mind twist the very meaning of what Apostle Paul was saying and thus end up in destruction in hell, for they try to understand the Spiritual Wisdom with their carnal mind. So let's come back to Romans 10:9 where Apostle Paul wrote first, "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus." So how do we confess Lord Jesus? In the beginning of The Gospel we see Angel Gabriel meeting Mary and also Joseph in dream when he was planning to leave Mary secretly knowing that she was pregnant. Let's see through the scriptures: (Luke 1 ) ------------ 26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary. 28 And having come in, the angel said to her, "Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!" 29 But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. 30 Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 AND BEHOLD, YOU WILL CONCEIVE IN YOUR WOMB AND BRING FORTH A SON, AND SHALL CALL HIS NAME JESUS. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. (Matthew 1 ) ------------ 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. 20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and YOU SHALL CALL HIS NAME JESUS, FOR HE WILL SAVE HIS PEOPLE FROM THEIR SINS." Both to Mary & Joseph Angel Gabriel came to them and instructed them to name the holy child from Virgin Mary, "JESUS" THE MEANING OF JESUS IS , "THE ONE WHO WILL SAVE HIS PEOPLE FROM THEIR SINS." SO as APOSTLE PAUL wrote that we need to confess with our mouth LORD JESUS: THE SAVIOUR WHO SAVED HIS PEOPLE FROM THEIR SINS. AND HOW DID JESUS COME TO SAVE HIS PEOPLE FROM THEIR SINS? WE HAVE THE ANSWER AS TESTIFIED BY GOD THE FATHER, let's see through the scriptures: (1 John 5 ) ------------ 6 This is He (JESUS) WHO CAME BY WATER AND BLOOD--JESUS CHRIST; NOT ONLY BY WATER, BUT BY WATER AND BLOOD. AND IT IS THE SPIRIT WHO BEARS WITNESS, BECAUSE THE SPIRIT IS TRUTH. 7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one. 9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; FOR THIS IS THE WITNESS OF GOD WHICH HE HAS TESTIFIED OF HIS SON. Apostle John specifically clarified and wrote as how JESUS became The Saviour who saved His people from their sins. JESUS to save the people from their sins came by WATER AND BLOOD as testified in 1John5:6, And it is THE SPIRIT who bore witness. WATER JESUS came by Water here means that He took His Water Baptism by the hand of Greatest Earthly Holy High Priest John the Baptist in Jordan River to take away all the sins of the world thus becoming THE LAMB OF GOD. WE FIND THE TESTIMONY OF GOD THE FATHER VOICED FROM HEAVEN AS WELL AS THE HOLY SPIRIT IN A FORM OF A DOVE. (Matthew 3 ) ------------ 13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. 14 And John tried to prevent Him, saying, "I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?" 15 But Jesus answered and said to him, "PERMIT IT TO BE SO NOW, FOR THIS IT IS FITTING FOR US TO FULFILL ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS." Then he allowed Him. 16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and HE SAW THE SPIRIT OF GOD DESCENDING LIKE A DOVE AND ALIGHTIN UPON HIM. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "THIS IS MY BELOVED SON, IN WHOM I AM WELL PLEASED." God The Father was well pleased in seeing His Only Son JESUS receiving His Baptism from the hand of John the Baptist fulfilling All Righteousness of The Law of REMISSION of Sins, taking away all the sins of the world thus becoming THE LAMB OF GOD. (John 1 ) ------------ 28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing. 29 THE NEXT DAY JOHN SAW JESUS COMING TOWARD HIM, AND SAID, "BEHOLD! THE LAMB OF GOD WHO TAKES AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD! WITHOUT HIS WATER (BAPTISM) JESUS COULD NOT BE THE LAMB TO TAKE AWAY ALL THE SINS OF THE WORLD. THUS IT WAS MANDATORY FOR JESUS TO RECEIVE HIS BAPTISM TO BECOME THE LAMB TAKING AWAY ALL THE SINS OF THE WORLD, SO HE COULD DEFINE HIS NAME JESUS: THE ONE WHO SAVED HIS PEOPLE FROM THEIR SINS. HE SAVED IT BY HIS WATER (BAPTISM) BECOMING THE LAMB OF GOD. JESUS not only came by water as stated in 1John5:6, "JESUS CHRIST; not only by WATER, but by WATER and BLOOD." BLOOD JESUS ALSO CAME BY BLOOD which means His Death on The Calvary Cross. The reason JESUS shed His Blood to death was because the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). JESUS had to pay all the wages of sins which He took away by His Water (Baptism). By Baptism JESUS CHRIST became worthy to die on the cross to pay all the wages of the sins of the world. Thus JESUS shed His blood to death on the Cross to redeem the world from its sins. Yes it is finished and we are all released from the burden and wages of all sins as JESUS PAID IT ALL WITH HIS VERY LAST DROP OF BLOOD. (John 19 ) ------------ 28 After this, JESUS, KNOWING THAT ALL THINGS WERE NOW ACCOMPLISHED, THAT THE SCRIPTURE MIGHT BE FULFILLED, said, "I thirst!" 29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. 30 So when JESUS had received the sour wine, HE SAID, "IT IS FINISHED!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. SO THIS IS HOW WE SHOULD CONFESS LORD JESUS, MEANING HOW JESUS SAVED THE WORLD FROM ITS SINS BY HIS BAPTISM AND CROSS. ONLY WHEN WE CONFESS LORD JESUS: THE SAVIOUR WHO SAVED THE WORLD FROM ITS SINS BY HIS BAPTISM AND DEATH, THEN WE CAN CONTINUE FURTHER OF ROMANS 10:9, ".....and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Yes we need to CONFESS how JESUS SAVED THE WORLD BY HIS BAPTISM AND DEATH and further believe in our heart that God The Father raised Him from the dead (RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST). SO ONLY WHEN WE CONFESS WITH OUR MOUTH THAT JESUS CHRIST SAVED US FROM ALL OUR SINS BY HIS BAPTISM (WATER) AND CROSS (BLOOD) AND BELIEVE IN OUR HEART THAT GOD THE FATHER RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD (RESURRECTION), WE WILL BE SAVED. Look how beautifully and in full confirmation Apostle Paul wrote to us by using the word, "WILL", that only when we confess with our mouth as how JESUS saved us from all our sins by His Baptism and Cross, and believe in our heart that He rose again from the dead, WE WILL BE SAVED. APOSTLE PAUL didn't use other conditional word such as, "SHALL." For Apostle Paul knew only when we believe JESUS CHRIST BAPTISM, CROSS AND RESURRECTION WE WILL BE SAVED. AND in ROMANS 10:10 WE SEE (Romans 10 ) ------------ 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." Yes with the heart we need to believe how JESUS CHRIST fulfilled All Righteousness of the law of REMISSION of sins to save us from all our sins by His Baptism (Mat 3:15) and confess with our mouth as how He saved us by His Baptism, Cross & Resurrection, so our confession is made unto salvation. And in Romans 10:11 we see the scriptures saying whoever believes in JESUS CHRIST will not be put to shame because He bore all our sins, shames & sickness by His Baptism and Cross and gave us ETERNAL BRAND NEW LIFE free of all sins by His Resurrection, BORN AGAIN OF HIS WATER AND THE SPIRIT. GOD BLESS ALL WHO BELIEVES IN THE BAPTISM, CROSS AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST WITH THE NEW ETERNAL LIFE OF HIS WATER AND THE SPIRIT. HALLELUJAH AMEN
