The Gospel of Mark (III), Seen from the Perspective of the Gospel of the Water and the Spirit leads us to examine ourselves—we who claim to know Jesus, yet put our own thoughts and our own standards ahead of His Word.

The kingdom of heaven is not obtained by human goodness or effort; it is a kingdom received by believing, with the purity of a little child, in the work of salvation that Jesus completed through the baptism He received from John the Baptist, the Cross, and His resurrection.

This book makes clear that salvation is entirely the grace of God, and at the same time it tells us that those who have been saved must seek God's glory and the good of souls rather than their own desires and honor, and must live serving the least.

Furthermore, it leads us to turn away from a faith that puts forward only religious form and self-righteousness, like a fig tree with nothing but leaves, and to walk with the living God, believing His Word and bearing the fruit of love and gospel proclamation.
